Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about the finance lifestyle approach, tracking, reminders, sync, subscriptions, security, exports, and monthly reports.
What does FiscusFlow mean by finance lifestyle app?
A finance lifestyle app is not only about recording expenses. FiscusFlow helps users build everyday money habits: track spending, stay prepared for bills and mandates, notice safety gaps, review savings and goals, manage cards and liabilities, and understand the month through useful summaries.
How does the app detect transactions automatically?
On supported Android flows, FiscusFlow can capture relevant finance activity, extract key transaction details, and store them locally first. For eligible trial and subscribed users, supported data can then sync to the cloud in the background.
Why does FiscusFlow ask for SMS permission?
SMS permission is used on Android to identify supported finance messages such as bank transactions, card activity, dues, mandates, and reminders. This reduces manual entry and helps create useful money logs and alerts. Users can revoke SMS permission anytime from Android settings.
Does FiscusFlow read personal non-finance SMS?
The app is designed to process finance-related sender patterns and message formats needed for tracking and reminders. Personal SMS content is not part of the app’s finance lifestyle purpose.
How do alerts and due reminders fit into finance lifestyle?
Bills, EMIs, credit card dues, subscriptions, and mandates affect real life more than simple category totals. FiscusFlow keeps upcoming dues visible so users can maintain balance, plan cash flow, and avoid avoidable surprises.
Does FiscusFlow help with savings and protection habits?
Yes. The app is designed to nudge users toward healthier financial routines such as reviewing savings, goals, insurance readiness, emergency planning, liabilities, and monthly trends. It gives practical prompts, not financial advice.
Why did an SMS transaction not appear?
The common reasons are missing device permissions, battery restrictions blocking background work, unsupported sender format, or a message being treated as non-transactional. Reopening the app and using recovery tools can help in many cases.
Will the app work without internet?
Many local Android flows can still work without internet, especially local transaction handling. Cloud sync, subscription refresh, and some cloud-backed sections may wait until internet access returns.
What is local-first sync?
Local-first means supported transaction data is stored on the device first for speed and reliability. Cloud sync happens afterward instead of blocking the transaction flow.
Do free users get cloud sync and backup?
No. Free mode mainly focuses on core device-based usage. Trial and subscribed users get cloud sync for the supported premium flows.
What is the difference between Free, Basic, and Pro?
Free covers the basics on device. Basic adds cloud sync and backup. Pro includes everything in Basic plus premium AI features such as AI Forecast and the AI Finance Assistant.
How does AutoPay work for subscriptions?
The first subscription payment sets up a recurring mandate. Future renewals are charged automatically unless the subscription is cancelled or fails.
Can I protect my balance with PIN or biometrics?
Yes. The app supports PIN protection for sensitive balance viewing and can use fingerprint or face unlock on supported devices as a convenience option.
Can I export my transactions?
Yes. The transaction page supports Excel export for raw transaction data and a monthly PDF report for a more polished summary.
What is included in the monthly PDF report?
The monthly PDF report includes total spend, total credits, net cash flow, average daily spend, top categories, top merchants, trend highlights, and a transaction appendix for the selected month.
How can I improve SMS tracking reliability on Android?
Keep SMS permission enabled, allow notifications, disable restrictive battery optimization, and allow auto-start or background activity on devices that aggressively stop background work.
